Bitriver to Sell Tokens Backed by 100 Megawatts of Low-Carbon Siberian Mining Power – Mining Bitcoin News

On the 12th. In April, international low-carbon colocation provider for cryptocurrency mining Bitriver announced the launch of a token sale backed by 100 megawatts (MW) of mining capacity in Siberia. The ERC20 tokens, called flow tokens (BTR), will represent one watt-hour (Wh) of power capacity in Bratsk.

Blockchain and mining company Bitriver has announced that on 19. Public sales of its new tokens, called Bitriver Tokens (BTR), will begin in April 2021. Each token represents a watt-hour (Wh) of Bitriver’s low-carbon energy for mining cryptocurrencies, and the tokens will also have a purpose.

According to the company, the tokens can be used to pay for Bitriver’s colocation services and will be returned by Bitriver at the original price after five years. BTR is currently available to investors for pre-sale with a minimum order size of 100,000 BTR tokens per order.

As for the public launch next Monday, BTR tokens will be sold on Bithumb Global and the price of BTRs will start at $0.3504 each. The announcement states that BTR will be linked to BTC, USDT and USDC. 100 million APCs have been supplied for 100 MW of power.

Holders of SDR tokens are motivated to receive additional tokens each month and use SDRs to pay up to 10% of their monthly roommate bills. Bitriver states that it will accept SDRs based on the average market price on the exchange during the last settlement month.

Bratsk (Siberian region in Russia), where Bitriver’s managed data centers are located, has about 5 GW of renewable hydroelectric power. Bitriver hopes to have a capacity of 300 MW by the end of 2021 and 1,000 MW by the end of 2022.
